Course Theme Selector

Changing a Course's Theme (stylesheet) using the Course Theme Selector

Use a Pre-Existing Theme

The simplest way to change your course's theme, or stylesheet, is to select one of the pre-existing themes (see Figure 2) using the Course Theme Selector (see Figure 1). In a matter of seconds your course can be transformed. However, since there are far more courses than themes, lots of other courses may use the exact same theme.

Found under the Manage tab in the "Course Settings" section.

Figure 2.Select an Existing Theme
Using the Course Theme Selector you can select an existing theme from the left menu to preview it. When you find a theme you like, click "Apply." Personal themes you have created will appear at the bottom of the theme list.

Create a New Theme or Edit an Existing One Using the Theme Editor

The Course Theme Selector also allows you to create a new theme. Pressing either the "Create a Theme" link or the "Edit" button (see Figure 3) will take you to the "Theme Editor" (see Figure 4). The Theme Editor lets you create a new style (or edit an existing one) by choosing items from a form (colors, fonts, etc.). Once you have made your changes to the form, press the "Preview" button at the bottom of the page. ANGEL will show a mock-up of what your stylesheet will look like. You can then either save your theme or make more changes.

Figure 3.Create a New Theme or Edit an Existing Theme
Click "Create a Theme" or "Edit" to use the "Theme Editor". Choosing "Edit" allows you to edit a copy of the theme you are previewing.

The ANGEL 7 Theme Editor is broken up into multiple tabs. It is a good practice to name your theme right away, as the Theme Editor will ask you to do so when you try to preview it.
